Kentucky New State Capitol, at Frankfort, Ky.
Antique postcard published circa 1910 by Illustrated Post Card, New York.
Completed in 1910, the new Kentucky capitol is shown here
with a colorful sky and a golden dome. Postcard artists started
with black-and-white photographs and tinted them in many
inspired ways. The Kentucky capitol dome is not really golden.

State Capitol, Frankfort, Kentucky
Vintage postcard published circa 1930 by The Mayrose Co, Linden, New Jersey.
This view of the capitol seems to show both snow on the ground and leaves on the trees . . . frosty leaves, that is. Mayrose most often published views of New Jersey, but they also made a state capitol series.

The Pediment, Capitol, Frankfort, Ky.
Antique postcard published circa 1910.
Postcard views of individual features of a state capitol are not
very common. Kentucky must be very proud of their relief
pediment sculpture. It greets all visitors from its place over
the main entrance.
This card might be based on a photo taken before the capitol
was completed. The dome should have been partially visible
behind the pediment.
